Just another blog

Well the weather here is much different from Arizona, lol of course I knew that. It was kinda funny as we got to the airport in Phoenix, Arizona it was raining. We got to Cody, Wyoming and it was snowing. LOL. Well we had a white Christmas, well it hadn't snowed since Monday and the snow didn't really melt because its been cold. Today we have a Winter Weather Advisory for the Big Horn County (where we are at.) It snowed alot last night and this morning. Justin's mom and dad tried to go to work this morning around 6:30 am, I guess it was still dark (iono, I'm never up that early) haha. Well we get a call from them telling us that they ran off the road because they couldn't see. So Justin's dad didn't go to work this morning and is going to take the night shift for Justin. So I'm glad I get to spend another day with Justin.

Our Christmas was really good, we opened gifts at 9-10am, which is nice hehe. I got a $50 itunes card and a cute stuffed teddy bear, chocolate covered cherries... YUMMY!! Justin got a few things, I don't remember. Justin's family has a tradition like my family did while growing up, we really don't do it much anymore. They draw names and what not, well his bro Marshall and his wife Hannah had us and they got us gift certificates and a lil magazine that we could buy anything we wanted from it. We could also go online and see what else is there. I'm glad they had us because in the magazine you could get an ipod speaker system, and Justin got a stereo that plays mp3's and ipods so we both were happy with who had us. We had Tommy and Sumer and they wanted movies. We were glad that we got gift certificates from our family for Christmas, it came in handy because this month has been super tight financially for us. So we used that money to get Sumer and Tommy the rest of their Christmas gift. We had gotten them a small teddie and moose that weren't that much and so when we got in on Monday night we went to Wal-mart and got them the new batman movie and movie popcorn that came in a bowl and some theature candy. Overall it was a really good Christmas. Thank you Bethanie and Nick for the card, it did come in handy. We even got a few things that we needed and the money that my gma gave us and the card buffy and nick gave us we still had money left over =). So Thank you again!!
We love you and Thank you for a wonderful trip!!

Visiting the fam for Christmas!!

Justin and I had gone to Thatcher last week on Wednesday because that's when Jordan was flying in off his mission. We were excited to see everyone, especially the lil kids. We had learned that Jordan and all the other missionaries that were in the Houston Texas mission that were coming home had missed their flights. So they wouldn't be coming in till 6:30pm instead of 12:30pm. So mom and dad took J and I too buffy's and nick's house. We got there and Zack came up to the door and saw gma and gpa and got all happy then looked at J and I and ran into the other room by the tree and was on the verdge of tears until gpa picked him up and told him it was ok. Trevon came to me and J started playing peek-a-boo w/ him and he liked it at first and then started crying after awhile. They took awhile to warm up to us and once they did it was smooth sailing from there. We all went to the airport and waited for Jordan's flight to come in and learned that their flight has been delayed about 30 minutes or so. After he finally got off the plane we all went out to our family tradition resteraunt Olive Garden. YUMMY!! The next day he had gotten released and so we all went clothes shopping, Justin and I went to go find black shirts for the family pictures that we'd be having while we were down. We found some that I actually liked. We go back to Buffy's and say goodbye to everyone and head to Thatcher. We get there, I felt bad because J drove all the way home and I tried so hard to stay awake to help him, but I couldn't I was so tired. It seemed liked the week flew by way to fast. Saturday came and we were supposed to take fam pic's but it didn't happen, but it was okay =). We went to El Charro instead =) YUMMY!! I was excited. I had been craving good Mexican food for awhile now. Well Sunday comes and Jordan did a good job on his homecoming talk, it was really good to see some people. It was hard to see other people.
Nick, Bethanie, Justin and I went to the hottubs that night just to spend some quality time w/ each other. It was really good, I'm glad we did. We had decided that we would stay 1 more night in Thatcher and then head back to Phoenix in the morning to catch our flight later that night. We go to TGI Friday's to go and eat before our flight, it was really good to spend more time w/ them.
I have to say this trip down was much better then last time!!

New Hair Cut

Well its official, I let someone else besides Bethanie cut my hair early Nov. Surprising right?? Yeah I know, I love the new hair cut. Its easy to take care of, sometimes. lol. After she was done she had puffed (YUCK!) my hair and since its naturally wavy/curly it was way puffy. I didn't like it when she did it. The next day I straightened it and one side was longer then the other so we went back and she fixed it. She cut my hair while it was curly and so she learned her lesson not to do that again lol. Yeah I was a lil sad because my hair was just getting to get long again, but this way my hair will be very healthy and not have the dead hair in the back.

Weather

Its so cold here, you'd think that since being here for so long I'd get used to it. I guess I've still got Arizona blood in me, hehe. Well last night snowed for the first time since it got this cold. It didn't snow a lot because it melted today, there are some spots still that have snow on it, I guess we are supposed to get more. Kinda stinks because all of our winter clothes are in storage in Star Valley (6-8 hrs away). Kinda weird that we haven't gotten our stuff yet, but means we are still living w/ his parents there is no room for our stuff.

Our Story

Justin and I met at the Circle K there in Thatcher, Arizona (well its not a Circle K anymore). He's originally from Otto, Wyoming. He was going to Devry in Phoenix his major was EET. We had actually set a date up in 2002 to meet up and have him come to a college dance with me, but things didn't fall into place. When we finally did meet up on March 3rd on my spring break from school. I was going to college at EAC for my ECE. The first christmas I spent w/ his family we went to Cody (45 min drive from where they live) and I saw the Otto population sigh and I was surprised, I couldn't believe or even think of how people lived here. The poplulation to Otto is 50. We dated for almost 2 years and finally decided to get married. Since our family's were from different states we decided that we'd get married in Thatcher and get sealed in Montana. We got married at the Stake Center in Thatcher on November 12, 2004. We lived there in Thatcher for about 2 years so that I could finish my schooling and get my degree. After a year of being married Justin and I got sealed in the Billings, Montana Temple on December 21 2005. My parents were the only ones that were able to make it to the sealing, we knew that not many family members could make it. We were very surprised that my parents could make it, that was a blessing that they could make it. I graduated from EAC at the end of December of that year, we moved to Wyoming the next year and he worked with his friend building houses. Things were getting worse for us, Justin's cousin wanted Justin to have him come sell security systems. We knew we had to get out of Star Valley. We moved to Virgina in 07, the sells weren't that great and so the company split up all of us and had us move to Lousiville Kentucky. J wasn't getting any sells and things weren't doing good. We decided to move bck to Wyoming. We moved in with his parents.

A few days after being here a guy from Big Horn Federal called J's parents to tell them to have Justin call them because they have been wanting him to work for them for a few years. They had called when Justin lived in Phoenix and then when they found out he didn't live in Otto anymore, they told his parents that whenever he moves back into town to have him give them a call and they would give him a job. Well they found out he was back so they told his parents to hav ehim give them a call. He did and they hired him on the spot but they did the interviews just for legal purposes. He's been working there ever since, they have raised his pay because Graham County (Thatcher Arizona) wanted Justin to come back to work for them and so the bank heard that and they raised his pay. But with Thatcher being so rediculasly (is that a word?) high we didn't see how our needs would be met. We knew we should stay here so we did. Justin teaches 10-11 year olds and he loves the class and the boys love him.

I got a calling the same time Justin got his a few weeks after being in the ward. The ward was great. I've never liked a better ward. Well the ward in Virgina was a good ward too. So this ward was on the top of my list of not wanting to leave. I get to teach 3-4 year olds. They are so cute. I had a job teaching at the daycare here in Basin, but poplitics got in the way and myboss hated that she had to let me go but her boss wouldn't let her not fire me. It was either her do it or her boss. She told me that I didn't deserve it. Well its worked out good w/ me not working because with all the trips that we've taken I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to take off any weeks and how long we've been.

So now you know the story of Justin and I.
